Klaus Dinger, 61, member of Kraftwerk and Neu!, has died.
From Groenland, his record label in recent years:
"With a lot of sadness we're informing you that Klaus Dinger of NEU!, La Duesseldorf and a founder of Kraftwerk died. An uncompromising musician, a challenging personality, inspirational human being and one of the most influential drummers died suddenly on March 21st. In Brian Eno's words: "There were three great beats in the '70s: Fela Kuti's Afrobeat, James Brown's funk and Klaus Dinger's NEU! beat." He will be a great loss to his friends and family, our label, all his fans and music.
